A constant learner with a passion for helping hospitality professionals achieve their full potential and career aspirations, Christine is the Managing Director of MacroVision Network (MVN) Pte Ltd.
MVN is a marketing, learning and development consulting company that specializes in hospitality management and the meetings & events industry. Established in 2001, MVN provides consulting services and produces events that inspire new thinking and creative leadership.
Christine is also the Special Projects and Talent Development Consultant for the Institute for Hospitality & Tourism Education & Research (IHTER) at Florida International University (FIU). She is currently executing key initiatives for FIU to support the development of IHTER’s Learning and Development Academy in China and the Visionary Leaders Council in Asia.
With over 20 years of extensive hospitality management and international marketing experience in the USA, EMEA and Asia Pacific and a solid background in destination management, meetings and events, airline and hospitality sales and marketing, Christine has a holistic view of the hospitality and tourism industry.
She held senior positions with ANA, Millennium & Copthorne Hotels, Utell/Pegasus Solutions and was the Corporate Director – Marketing for Carlson Hotels where she led Carlson Asia Pacific’s marketing and strategy development effort in four key disciplines including: CRM & Loyalty, Brand Management, Strategic Partnerships and E-Commerce.
Christine was the founding Managing Director, Asia Pacific for the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) and was the Lead Facilitator for the Hotel Electronic Distribution Network Association (HEDNA) University Workshops on
e-distribution and revenue management for hospitality marketing in Asia Pacific.
A Chartered Marketer and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK), Christine received her Executive Master Degree in Business Administration (International Marketing) from PHW Business School/Kalaidos University of Applied Sciences, Switzerland.
Shirley brings to the world of business her unique spin on communications. Her style is highly persuasive, articulate, creative and engaging. A natural born communicator, her ability to create impact and presence, be it in the boardroom or classroom, has not only turned heads of clients during her advertising career, but also opened doors to several invitations to teach.
Having spearheaded the creative concept and copy for several prestigious campaigns, to writing business proposals and delivering pitches, Shirley has been equally comfortable in delivering seminars and tutorials to undergraduates at the local universities and polytechnics for 7 years. She firmly believes in shaping speakers and effective communicators for the working world of tomorrow.
Shirley is passionate about creating her own unique brand of business communications. Her goal is to transfer skills acquired from a combined 20-year career in advertising, teaching and an early stint in industrial relations into the corporate world. She ensures the delivery of quality communication programmes for the training and development of staff and leaders at the work place. Areas covered include a wide range of written and spoken communications: writing emails, reports and proposals, making business presentations, managing negative and resistance-high messages, etiquette, resolving communication conflict and basic negotiations.
With her recent WSQ certification, the Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA), alongside her BA in Literature and Sociology (Hons) from the University of Essex, UK, MA in Women’s Studies from the University of York, UK and Graduate Diploma of Counselling from the Australian College of Applied Psychology makes her a well-qualified professional and practitioner. Shirley is an eclectic mix of diverse talents, who would love to be engaged by companies to train staff to up their game in business communications! Driven by this passion to communicate effectively, she is now moving into corporate training.
A passionate, business-oriented and result-driven marketing professional with more than 16 years of solid brand, marketing and communications experience in hospitality which includes 8 years proven track record of leading regional marketing across luxury, upscale and mid-scale brands in Greater China.
Sarah has experience in working with marketing teams and managing agencies in diverse markets in EMEA, US and the rest of Asia including Thailand, Singapore, Japan, Australia and India.
She is a strategic thinker with persuasive interpersonal skills,
self-driven and can easily adapt to the changes taking place in a vibrant market place. Her focus is on driving brand performance, generating demands and financial results. While she appreciates the big picture, Sarah is hands on and able to build concepts from scratch.
Pauline enjoys imparting knowledge, she hones her passion for helping professionals in any domain communicate confidently and effectively.
As a lead instructor for MacroVision Hospitality, her focus will be to nurture future leaders in the hospitality management and the meetings & events industry into confident leaders.
Pauline has had cross-industry exposure in many industries spanning project implementation within the hospitality and the telecommunications industry. Most recently she spent a number of years grow a start-up specializing in creating compliance training programs for banking professionals. She has keen interests and linguistic talent being fluent in English, French and Chinese.
Pauline is the holder of an MBA in International Business from the University of Ottawa in Canada. She also holds a diploma in Education from the London Teacher’s College. Currently, she is pursuing her accreditation in Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment.
