Christine is a marketing and professional development consultant with a multi-faceted career in Hospitality and Tourism in APAC and the USA. She has in-depth knowledge and experience in strategy development, brand marketing, digital marketing, integrated campaign planning and execution, and omnichannel CRM.
With a background in airline and destination marketing, hospitality sales & marketing, digital technology solutions, and the MICE segments, she views the marketplace holistically from the industry's supply and demand side.
Christine is a firm believer that 'Leadership and Learning are Inextricably Linked' and actively pursues opportunities to deepen her perspective on global issues that impact ecological, social, and cultural wellbeing. With a keen interest in Sustainable Tourism (ST) and Responsible Business Practices, her client projects focus on charting new pathways to successful ST outcomes.
As managing director of MacroVision Network (MVN), she produces thought-leadership forums and learning & networking events that inspire new thinking, best practices, and creative leadership. Established in 2001, MVN collaborates with global hospitality and tourism brands, educators, and not-for-profit organizations to cultivate deeper insights into viable solutions and promote a sense of community for a sustainable tourism future.
Christine's recent projects include the 2020 Impact Hospitality Forums for Asia and the USA; AsiaConnect Leadership Forums; Institute for Hospitality & Tourism Education & Research (IHTER) at Florida International University's (FIU) Visionary Leaders Roundtables for Asia and the USA, and SHATEC Customer Experience & Digital Marketing Workshops in Singapore.
She previously held positions as Marketing & Strategy Consultant for Kahala Hotel & Resort Hawaii; Project Consultant, Florida International University; Corp. Director of Marketing - Carlson Hotels APAC; Managing Director, Asia - Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI); Vice President of Marketing, APAC - Utell/Pegasus Solutions; Director of Marketing - Orchard Hotel Singapore and Market Development Manager (USA) - All Nippon Airways.
Christine is a Chartered Marketer with an Executive Master’s Degree in Business Administration (International Marketing) and has a Professional Certificate in Sustainable Tourism and a Sustainable Hotel Certificate from the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC).
Shirley brings to the world of business her unique spin on communications. Her style is highly persuasive, articulate, creative and engaging. A natural born communicator, her ability to create impact and presence, be it in the boardroom or classroom, has not only turned heads of clients during her advertising career, but also opened doors to several invitations to teach.
Having spearheaded the creative concept and copy for several prestigious campaigns, to writing business proposals and delivering pitches, Shirley has been equally comfortable in delivering seminars and tutorials to undergraduates at the local universities and polytechnics for 7 years. She firmly believes in shaping speakers and effective communicators for the working world of tomorrow.
Shirley is passionate about creating her own unique brand of business communications. Her goal is to transfer skills acquired from a combined 20-year career in advertising, teaching and an early stint in industrial relations into the corporate world. She ensures the delivery of quality communication programmes for the training and development of staff and leaders at the work place. Areas covered include a wide range of written and spoken communications: writing emails, reports and proposals, making business presentations, managing negative and resistance-high messages, etiquette, resolving communication conflict and basic negotiations.
With her recent WSQ certification, the Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA), alongside her BA in Literature and Sociology (Hons) from the University of Essex, UK, MA in Women’s Studies from the University of York, UK and Graduate Diploma of Counselling from the Australian College of Applied Psychology makes her a well-qualified professional and practitioner. Shirley is an eclectic mix of diverse talents, who would love to be engaged by companies to train staff to up their game in business communications! Driven by this passion to communicate effectively, she is now moving into corporate training.
A passionate, business-oriented and result-driven marketing professional with more than 16 years of solid brand, marketing and communications experience in hospitality which includes 8 years proven track record of leading regional marketing across luxury, upscale and mid-scale brands in Greater China.
Sarah has experience in working with marketing teams and managing agencies in diverse markets in EMEA, US and the rest of Asia including Thailand, Singapore, Japan, Australia and India.
She is a strategic thinker with persuasive interpersonal skills,
self-driven and can easily adapt to the changes taking place in a vibrant market place. Her focus is on driving brand performance, generating demands and financial results. While she appreciates the big picture, Sarah is hands on and able to build concepts from scratch.
